Kasey Taylor

Kasey L. Taylor is the State Conservationist for the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Delaware. She has served in this capacity since 2013.  Kasey is responsible for providing overall direction and management of NRCS personnel, conservation planning and activities consistent with the Farm Bill delivery and implementation.


During her 26 years with the Natural Resources Conservation Service, she has worked in three States where she served as a District Conservationist, Assistant State Conservationist for Field Operations and Acting Assistant State Conservationist for Operations.


Kasey has served in a variety of details including Acting State Conservationist for Kansas, Colorado and Nebraska, Acting National Conservation Reserve Program Manager and the Acting Deputy Chief for Science and Technology in Washington, DC.


Throughout her career, Kasey has been involved with several professional organizations and held leadership positions or served on committees for several of them.  She has been a member of the Soil and Water Conservation Society since 1997 and served as the Chair for the Arkansas Chapter. She is a lifetime member of the National Organization of Professional Black Natural Resources Conservation Service Employees (NOPBNRCSE), serving as its Recording Secretary from 2005-2007. 


Kasey is also a member of the Professional Organization of Women in Natural Resources Conservation Service (WiN) and serves as an advisor for the Executive Board. She currently chairs the Chief’s Advisory Committee, directly engaging with NRCS's upper leadership to address operational challenges of the agency.


A native of Illinois, Kasey graduated from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science.


Kasey and her husband Myron are the proud parents of two children.
