Ken Sowers


Ken Sowers was born and raised in Arkansas. He graduated from Arkansas State in Jonesboro, Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications. Ken is a military veteran with over 24 years of service.

Ken is currently employed by the City of Missouri and left his employment with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (Georgia) in 2020. 
Ken began his career with NRCS in August 2011 as the Appeals Specialist for the State of Missouri. There he was responsible for representing NRCS on programmatic and technical appeals.

Prior to joining NRCS, Ken had worked in the regulation and compliance field with different State Agencies for more than 20 years.

Ken joined the National Organization of Professional Black Natural Resources Conservation Service Employees in 2012, where he has served as the Midwest Regional Representative and Chair of the Nomination Committee. He is a Life Member.

Currently, Ken resides in St. Louis, MO. and enjoys being active by playing golf and exercising.
